1947-2007
The Sports Arena was a big part of my life growing up in Toledo. It was a great place to watch hockey -- not a bad seat in the house! But my memories of One Main Street run much deeper. Auto shows, Holiday on Ice, Junior Achievement banquets, Harlem Globetrotters, wrestling, and the Circus were but a few of my Arena memories. I saw my first major concert (Steppenwolf, 1969) and one of my all-time favorite concerts (Blood, Sweat, and Tears, 1971) at the Arena.
